PRACTITIONERS SPEAK

What Persistence Brings

Results come from "persistence + the right method", not miracles.

"Years at a desk made my shoulders feel like a plank. Two months of standing practice — the biggest change is sleeping deeply at night, and loose shoulders in the morning."

Better sleep · Looser shoulders

Ms. Chen · 42Designer · Foundation student
"After retiring I couldn't get it from videos. In class, one posture correction from the master changed everything — a light sweat, and my appetite came back."

Better digestion · True form

Mr. Liu · 55Retired teacher · Baduanjin student
"Long hours and constant fatigue were my norm. I joined the 21-day check-in program — fifteen minutes a day, and my afternoons are no longer drowsy. The real key is having people practice alongside you; that's what makes it stick."

More energy · Habit formed

Ms. Zhou · 36Tech industry · Online student

The above are consolidated common feedback from students; individual experiences vary. Traditional wellness practice emphasizes long-term nourishment and does not replace medical care.

FAQ

About Yuandao Baduanjin — What You May Want to Know

Common questions on the practice, beginners, and our online & in-person tracks.

What is Baduanjin?

Baduanjin is a traditional Chinese wellness practice of eight gentle guiding movements, combined with breath and intention to open the meridians and balance qi and blood. Yuandao teaches both the Classic Baduanjin and the Quanzhen Longmen ancient form.

Can I join with no experience at all?

Yes. The Foundation Class is built for complete beginners — starting from Zhan Zhuang standing practice, with the master correcting every stance and seated posture. Fifteen minutes a day is enough to begin.

Are classes online or in-person?

We use a dual track: online video lessons, replays and group check-ins with no geographic limit; and in-person small-group classes in Suzhou, taught mouth-to-ear with every movement corrected.

Where are the in-person classes held?

In-person classes are in Suzhou, taught in small groups by the master. The exact venue is notified by our admin after registration; we do not publish specifics.

Can Baduanjin replace medical care?

No. Baduanjin is a traditional wellness practice focused on long-term nourishment and improving sub-health. It does not replace diagnosis or treatment. If you have a health condition, please see a doctor and follow medical advice.
